Why your bouquet will not match the photograph exactly
An honest explanation of substitution, and why the alternative would be worse.

Every photograph on this site is of an arrangement we actually made. None of them can be remade exactly, and we would rather explain why than let it be a surprise.
We buy in small quantities several times a week instead of holding stock. That is the reason the flowers last, and also the reason we cannot promise a specific stem: what arrives at the market on Thursday is not what arrived on Monday.
So we match on shape, size and palette. If a photograph shows five garden roses in blush and the blush ones that morning are poor, you will get five roses of the same size in a tone that sits in the same arrangement — not four good ones and one that lets the whole thing down.
When we substitute anything meaningful we tell you before it leaves the studio. If the difference is not one you are happy with, we will remake it or refund you.
The alternative — guaranteeing an exact match — would mean buying in bulk and holding stems for days so the shelf always has everything. Those are the flowers that die on the fourth day.
